MEET THE GROOMERS

The people behind
the pampering.

Meet Ellen & Lori.

Before Uptown, Ellen and Lori had professional careers—but their hearts were with animals. Both decided to make a change and become dog groomers.

They met while working at the same store, discovered a shared passion, and eventually set out together to open a salon of their own. That became Uptown: a place built around the work they love and the dogs they care for.

What should I bring?

Please bring proof of your dog’s current rabies vaccination. Let us know about any sensitivities, special care needs, or preferences for their haircut.

Is Uptown right for my dog?

We welcome dogs under 30 lbs. If your dog is nervous or has particular care needs, please contact us so we can discuss the best approach for their visit.

How long will their groom take?

Most grooming visits take around 2–4 hours, depending on the dog and services. We’ll give you an estimated pick-up time when you arrive.

How much will it cost?

Pricing depends on breed, coat condition, and the services your dog needs. Extra time or care may carry an additional charge. Contact the salon for an estimate.

Can I stay during the appointment?

We recommend dropping your dog off and returning at their pick-up time. Seeing their person can make it harder for some dogs to settle into their groom.

What if I need to cancel?

Please let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment. All services, including nail trims, require an appointment; we don’t currently accept walk-ins.
